Foo Fighters Plot Los Angeles Benefit Show on Dave Grohl’s 57th Birthday

January concert will benefit organizations fighting homelessness, poverty, and hunger

Foo Fighters will be giving back in a big way with a benefit concert in January. Taking place on Jan. 14 at the Kia Forum, the show will benefit Hope the Mission and Los Angeles Mission, two organizations that aim to prevent, reduce, and eliminate poverty, homelessness, and hunger.

The show will take place on frontman Dave Grohl‘s birthday. “What better way to spend my 57th birthday than making a bunch of noise with a bunch of friends for a good cause,” Grohl wrote in a statement. He and his wife Jordyn have been long supporters of both organizations. “This ain’t just a big ass rock show, it’s a big ass party with a heart. Turn up the volume, turn up the hope, but most of all….TURN UP.”

In order to get the tickets into the hands of local fans and not scalpers, advance tickets will be available to purchase in-person only. On Dec. 7 at noon, fans can line up at the Kia Forum box office in Inglewood, California. There will be a four-ticket limit per person, which can only be purchased using a physical credit or debit card.

In order to participate in the advance ticket sale, fans must also bring items for donation to Hope the Mission, who will be on site to collect them. They are looking for socks and underwear, dried pinto beans (bagged), spaghetti or macaroni (bagged or boxed), and dried rice (bagged). They will not accept canned goods or perishable items.

“Dave, Jordyn, and Foo Fighters are a striking example of what’s possible when we decide to show up and give back. This concert will be more than just a celebration, it’s a statement that it will take all of us working together to end homelessness in our city so that no one is left suffering on our streets,” Rowan Vansleve, President of Hope the Mission said in a statement. “We’re incredibly grateful to partner with the band. Foo Fighters and their fans have a reputation of always stepping up to help when people need it, and this concert will be no different.”

Foo Fighters recently announced a run of 2026 stadium shows around the U.S. and Canada. The tour will kick off on Aug. 4 in Toronto and wrap up on Sept. 26 in Las Vegas.
