From the first batch of new episodes, the show features songs by Michael Jackson (a 1972 cover of “Rockin’ Robin”), ABBA, the Psychedelic Furs,Tiffany and more. Volume 2 of both the show and the soundtrack will arrive Dec. 26, while Volume 3 drops Jan. 1, 2026.

Fans of the series and its excellent needle drops will be able to purchase the complete Stranger Things: Soundtrack from the Netflix Series, Season 5 on Jan. 30. It will be available on CD, vinyl and red cassette configurations. Colored vinyl formats will be available at various stores including Target and Walmart.

The soundtrack has been overseen by the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, with music supervisor Nora Felder. The soundtrack has become a hallmark of the show, with the series’ popularity pushing several older songs to the top of the charts. Notably, Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” and Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” were catapulted on to the Hot 100 following Season Four of the show. Bush’s 1985 track cracked the Top 3, charting higher than it did upon its release.
