‘Kind of a Bop’: Watch Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo’s ‘Wicked’ Mini-Me’s Adorably Re-Create Viral ‘Elphaba, Glinda’ Song

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo‘s musical Wicked explainer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon went viral last year — and now, there’s a version for the munchkins in your life too.

Premiering exclusively on Billboard below, Karis Musongole and Scarlett Spears — who play young Elphaba and Glinda in the Wicked films, respectively — performed their own version of their older counterparts’ catchy jingle. “I’m a witch/ And I’m a witch/ But, which is which?/ Well, here’s the sitch,” they sing over a dance beat, alternating each line.

The video also features an adorable cameo from Cesily Collette Taylor, who portrays young Nessarose in the films, as well as the two little witches’ green and pink teddy bears. The little ones’ cover marks just the latest way the Wicked cast has honored the impact of the original song, which has amassed more than 22 million views since it was originally uploaded a year ago. Earlier this month, Erivo, Grande and castmates Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Marissa Bode and Ethan Slater reunited to sing a follow-up for the Tonight Show in honor of sequel Wicked: For Good.

In addition to YouTube, the mini-me version of the Tonight Show song will be available to watch via the Universal Kids channel on Peacock, where even more Wicked-themed content is headed in the coming weeks. The musical clip arrives just days after the Nov. 21 release of Wicked: For Good in theaters all over the world, tying a bow on the saga that kicked off with the first movie — which won Oscars for best costume and production design — in November 2024.
