Watch Sombr joined by Sophie Ellis-Bextor for ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ at intimate London show

Sombr brought out Sophie Ellis-Bextor at his intimate show in London last night for ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ – watch below.

The breakout musician, who released his debut album ‘I Barely Know Her’ in August, only announced the show at the start of this week and it went down at KOKO on Friday (November 21).

Towards the end of the intimate, one-off event, Sombr welcomed out his special guest, and much to delight of the crowd, they launched into her 2000 disco-pop hit – which had a major revival a year ago thanks to its unforgettable inclusion in Saltburn.

Watch video footage of the moment here:

Sombr played:

‘I Wish I Knew How To Quit You’
‘Savior’
‘We Never Dated’
‘Perfume’
‘Do I Ever Cross Your Mind’
‘Come Closer’
‘Caroline’
‘Dime’
‘Would’ve Been You’
‘Undressed’
‘Canal Street’
‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ (with Sophie Ellis-Bextor)
‘Crushing’
‘Under The Mat’
‘Back To Friends’
‘12 To 12’

It’s been a big few weeks for Sombr – after making his debut appearance on Saturday Night Live earlier this month, he also played on The Graham Norton Show last night (November 21), and recently picked up a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

He has a UK and European tour planned for 2026, which includes shows in London, Manchester, Birmingham and more in March – see all of those dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

‘I Barely Know Her’ earned a four-star review from NME in August, which noted: “‘I Barely Know Her’ is an album driven by heartache but that hasn’t stopped Sombr from creating a gloriously dynamic record that’s less about misery and more about catharsis. It’s sad boy indie with a smirk.”

Last month, Sombr took to TikTok to respond to criticism that a recent live show that he felt “body shamed” him. “I totally respect people having opinions, but I am a 20-year-old artist, freshly 20. And if you’re 25 years old and you’re going to come to my concert and not expect people younger than you to be there, when I the artist am five years younger than you, it’s just a skill issue,” he said.
