Starting December 1, players will be able to team up with Eminem and work with the legendary rapper to take down his alter-ego, Slim Shady.

The limited-time event will run until December 31 and is free as part of the starter pack for new players and as an Elusive Target for Hitman World of Assassination players.

“On his latest album ‘The Death Of Slim Shady’ the rapper tried to put his unhinged other self away, but it seems his past continues to haunt him,” reads a press release.

The limited-time mission is “packed with psychological, dreamlike twists that mirror Slim Shady’s fractured reality,” it continues. “Set within a medical facility in Hokkaido that has been reconfigured into the chaotic Popsomp Hills Asylum, the mission follows Agent 47 as he infiltrates a surreal environment where doctors, patients, and performers blur into one. Slim Shady has transformed his former operating theatre into a fully equipped broadcasting studio, where he delivers erratic live performances to a captive audience of staff and inmates.”

Players must track Slim Shady across several interconnected areas including a recording studio and a bizarre group training session where he “brainwashes the doctors to participate in his evil scheme of weaponising music.” The mission will reportedly be full of “Eminem-inspired details” including a poisoned Spaghetti Sandwich served in his restaurant and a “haunting performance” of ‘Houdini’.

“Killing Slim Shady in collab with Eminem will be fun! God, such a treat for Eminem fans,” wrote one excited fan. “Last album being ‘The Death Of Slim Shady’ was actually just foreshadowing for this mission. Also I love that Eminem and 47 are working together to kill Shady,” added another.

Hitman: World Of Assassination recently released a team-up with Bruce Lee while Mads Mikkelsen revived his iconic James Bond baddie Le Chiffre for a limited-time event earlier this year. Meanwhile Eminem’s last big video game collab was with Fortnite. Shortly after the 2024 event went live, one fan jokingly called the legendary rapper “that guy from Fortnite‘ which Eminem didn’t seem to mind.

In other news, BAFTA has announced a 2026 UK tour to celebrate 20 years of video game soundtracks.
