My Bloody Valentine play secret first gig since 2018, debut ‘Off Your Face’

My Bloody Valentine have performed a secret set, marking their first gig since 2018 – see all the details below.

Yesterday (November 19), the band performed at the National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland under the moniker Isn’t Anything – a nod to their 1988 album of the same name.

Per the Brooklyn Vegan, the secret set – which served as a warm-up for their forthcoming shows – was scheduled to take place at a smaller venue but was bumped up to the 2000-capacity National Stadium due to overwhelming demand.

While fans in attendance did not get to hear unreleased music, the band performed ‘Off Your Face’ from the 2012 compilation album ‘EP’s 1988-1991’ live for the first time ever. Elsewhere they performed a slew of fan favourites, including ‘I Only Said’, ‘Only Shallow’, ‘Feed Me With Your Kiss’ and more.

Footage from the secret gig is scarce at the moment, but you can see a clip of them performing ‘Soon’, as well as photos from the crowd below.

My Bloody Valentine’s secret set as Isn’t Anything on November 19 was:

‘I Only Said’
‘When You Sleep’
‘New You’
‘You Never Should’
‘Honey Power’
‘Cigarette In Your Bed’
‘Only Tomorrow’
‘Come In Alone’
‘Only Shallow’
‘Off Your Face’ (live debut)
‘Thorn’
‘Nothing Much To Lose’
‘Who Sees You’
‘To Here Knows When’
‘Slow’
‘Soon’
‘Wonder 2’
‘Feed Me With Your Kiss’
‘You Made Me Realise’

The warm-up show comes ahead of their massive comeback shows at Dublin’s 3Arena, Manchester’s Aviva Studios, London’s Wembley Arena and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro beginning this weekend.

The 3Arena show will take place on November 22, while the Manchester gig takes place on November 24. Both shows will see support from Maria Somerville, while the Wembley Arena date on the 25th and OVO Hydro show on the 27th will be supported by J Mascis – you can find any remaining tickets here.

These shows will be My Bloody Valentine’s first official live performances in nearly seven years, since they last toured North America in 2018. They also mark their first UK headline tour in over 10 years.

Following these dates, the band will head over to Hong Kong for the Clockenflap Festival in early December, and a handful of shows in Japan in February 2026. My Bloody Valentine will also be playing at Primavera Sound in June next year, alongside headliners The Cure, Gorillaz, The xx, Doja Cat and Massive Attack.

Their latest album was the 2013 comeback record ‘mbv’. In the time since, the members revealed in 2021 that they were working on two new albums for Domino, and Shields said that the first would contain “warm and melodic” material while the second would be more experimental.
