Next spring will see the arrival of the first BTS studio album since 2020, when they released Be, as well as the follow-up to their Permission to Dance On Stage Tour
If the guys in BTS have been quiet lately, it’s because they’ve been hard at work in the studio. Earlier this year, the band announced that their official comeback would launch in the spring of 2026 with a new album and tour. RM took to social media to share a progress update for ARMY about how the process has been going behind the scenes.
“Above all, the music is really coming out great,” RM shared on X. “Everyone is working hard. Look forward to it. 2026 Bulletproof Army Fighting.” The musician shared the caption alongside four photos to provide fans with a proper check-in.
BTS have been working on their forthcoming record since July. The album will mark their first since 2020, when they released Be. “Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,” BTS shared earlier this year. “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”

After the band’s hiatus was announced in March 2022, V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, and J-Hope used that time to complete their mandatory military service in South Korea and pursue solo endeavors as musicians. Coming together again, they have a wealth of new experiences and skills to pour back into BTS.
RM last checked in with ARMY about the album in August. “Making something ‘together’ with these friends, I’m going to commit myself to this moment. I’m going to thank you,” he said at the time. “It’s our next album. I’m looking for what I’ll become. Something I’ve forgotten for too long, the moments that are far away together. I hope that it will be a kind of beauty.”
