Wet Leg reveal third album is already “done”

Wet Leg‘s third studio album is already finished, frontwoman Rhian Teasdale has revealed.

The singer-songwriter teased the forthcoming project during a recent interview with John Kennedy on Radio X. She and guitarist Josh Mobaraki reflected on the band’s huge year and their second record, 2025’s ‘Moisurizer’.

At the end of the conversation, Kennedy asked the pair whether there had been any progress on their third LP. “It’s done,” Teasdale responded.

The host then asked: “It’s done?! Amazing. Where on Earth did you find the time to do that?”

Teasdale replied: “I know.” Mobaraki added: “Not on Earth.”

Earlier in the chat, Wet Leg looked ahead to their big outdoor UK gigs next summer – which will take place in Manchester, Leeds and London. “I don’t know if we’ll rethink [the set],” Teasdale said. “I think we’ll still be on a ‘Moisturizer’ flex.”

She continued: “But certainly, to fill that kind of size venue, you do have to think about the show a little bit more, and how it’s gonna be adapted for like 13,000 people. It’s crazy. So yeah, onwards and upwards.”

Last week saw ‘Moisturizer’ earn two Grammy nominations for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Album Cover. Wet Leg also received a nod in the Best Alternative Music Performance category for their single ‘Mangetout’.

‘Moisturizer’, which was released in July, went to Number One in the UK albums chart. In a four-star review of the record, NME wrote: “After the whirlwind that was Wet Leg’s debut album, it would have been easy for the band to capitulate under the pressure or just play it safe and remake that record.

“But on their second effort, they’ve evolved into a smarter, sexier and altogether stronger creature. Would we still love Wet Leg if they turned into a worm? With this album under their belts, the answer is undoubtedly yes.”

Meanwhile, Wet Leg have been announced for next year’s Latitude, Isle Of Wight Festival, Coachella and Primavera Sound. Later this week, the band will embark on a UK and Ireland headline tour – including a gig at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London.

Their outdoor shows next summer are set to take place at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl (July 8), Leeds’ Millennium Square (July 9) and London’s Alexandra Palace (July 10) .Find any remaining tickets here.

Last month, Wet Leg covered Empire Of The Sun’s 2008 single ‘Walking On A Dream’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, putting a guitar-heavy spin on the track.
