Leon Bridges and Norah Jones share new festive single ‘This Christmas I’m Coming Home’

Leon Bridges and Norah Jones have shared a new festive single, ‘This Christmas I’m Coming Home’ – check it out below.

Released on Friday (November 7), the track nods to Bridges’ breakout single ‘Coming Home’, giving it a festive twist.

It was co-written with Jones and writer/producer Leon Michels, and sees Bridges and Jones trade verses about returning home for the holidays over a classic piano riff.

I wanna leave the world behind for now/ And forget about the trouble on my mind/ I can sit by the fire and lose myself for a while/ And remember what was so hard to find,” they sing on the soulful track.

The track is one of two Christmas singles from Bridges for 2025, with another, titled ‘A Merry Black Christmas’, due next Friday (November 14).

In other news, Bridges released his fourth studio album, ‘Leon’, last year, which he said at the time had been “a long-time coming”.

“I started writing pieces of it as far back as Gold-Diggers Sound. They didn’t fit what I was trying to do with that album and I tried moving on. But I couldn’t shake them because they’re part of me,” he explained at the time. “And, if I’m honest, also because I think this is some of my most excellent work yet.”

“In many ways, ‘Leon’ has been in the works since my childhood,” he continued. “This record is about simpler days. It’s about time spent in my beloved Fort Worth and the experiences that made me the man I am today. It’s soulful music in the truest sense – it’s imbued with my soul.”

“I’m excited to share these stories about my home, about nostalgia, about my upbringing, about where I’m from, with all of you. I hope this music brings you back to your roots and your journey.”

The new project follows his third album ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ which came out in 2021. NME gave the album four stars, commending its “new, vibrant, almost luminous aesthetic”.
