The musician said she suffered a “minor medical emergency” but is now “A-Okay”
Halsey spent the night in the emergency room after her concert in Boston Sunday night, but still expects to be able to perform tonight, Nov. 3.
On Instagram Stories, the singer-songwriter said she had a “minor medical emergency” after her first of two concerts at MGM Music Hall in Boston. While she was in the hospital’s ER until six in the morning, Halsey told fans, “I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight!”
Though she did add one totally reasonable caveat for fans attending tonight’s second gig at MGM Music Hall: “If I’m pacing myself, that’s why.”
Halsey did not specify what put her in the emergency room, though they’ve been undergoing chemotherapy treatments recently after being diagnosed with lupus and a rare T-Cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022. On Instagram, Halsey thanked the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who treated her at Mass General, calling them “the absolute best team I’ve ever met,” and adding, “I am so so grateful!”

Halsey is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of her debut album on her Back to Badlands tour, which kicked off last month. (Right before launching the tour, she revealed she’d just finished another round of chemo.) She has additional shows across the U.S. scheduled through mid-November, with a second North American leg kicking off next January. Shows in Europe, the U.K., and Australia will follow.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Halsey spoke about celebrating the 10th anniversary of Badlands and her plans for the tour, saying: “The Back to Badlands Tour really is about everything Badlands is about, but in the context of what I’ve learned now and which of those subjects remain in my life, which ones I’ve grown from, and which ones have changed. There’s a really humbling experience as a musician when you sing a song that you wrote 10 years ago and you realize that it’s still relevant, and you’re like, ‘I guess I haven’t learned my goddamn lesson.’ You’re being forced to relive that all the time. That’s really what this tour is going to be about for me.”
