Watch The Marías’ Haunting Performance of ‘Back to Me’ for Austin City Limits TV

Rolling Stone also has a look at their rendition of Submarine favorite, “Sienna”

The Marías hosted a special set for Austin City Limits back in July — and Rolling Stone has a sneak peek at the performance, set to air on PBS (and its app) on Saturday. In the videos, María Zardoya serenades the crowd with haunting renditions of “Back to Me” and “Sienna” from the group’s breakthrough record, Submarine.

The live performance video was filmed during a one-night-only concert at the Texas capital’s Moody Theatre on July 8. During the one-hour performance, the group played songs such as “Only in My Dreams,” “Heavy,” “No One Noticed,” “Cariño,” and Maria’s Bad Bunny collab “Otro Atardecer.”

Kelsea Ballerini also filmed a concert for ACL TV, which airs weekly on PBS nationwide and has featured other musical greats in the past. This season has featured Finneas, Japanese Breakfast, and Billy Strings.

The new performance comes just a day before Zardoya is set to release her solo album, Melt, under the stage name, Not for Radio. Zardoya recorded the album in January 2025 at Flying Cloud Recordings in upstate New York, working with Sam Evian and Luca Buccellati to produce it.

“My intention with this project was to make music for the love of experimenting, far from home, fully in the moment, open to whatever stream of consciousness unfolded around us,” Zardoya wrote on Instagram last week.

The Not for Radio release follows the Marías’ massive 2024 album, Submarine. Zardoya has made clear that the Marías will always exist. “The band will be here forever,” she said. “I love making music as the Marías, and nothing will ever change that.”
