The Lottery Winners have shared details of a huge show at the LSV Stadium in Leigh, with appearances from Frank Turner, Reverend & The Makers, Scouting For Girls and more. Find out more below.
Taking place on Saturday May 30, the homecoming show will mark the biggest ever UK headline show for the band, and will see them break out some of their biggest hits to date. Support on the night will come from close friends Scouting for Girls, as well as local favourites The Lilacs, and a DJ set from Katie Owen.
For their headline show, the band will also be joined on stage by a stellar line-up of special guests they’ve previously collaborated with. These include artists who have appeared on their albums in the past, including Frank Turner and Reverend & The Makers, with further names to be announced.
“Leigh Sports Village isn’t just another show for us, it’s a marker of everything we’ve worked for,” frontman Thom Rylance said of the gig. “From loading gear into pubs to travelling the world, every step has led here. To headline a stadium at home is rare, and we don’t take that lightly. This night will stand as proof of what’s possible when you keep on keeping on.”
“Headlining Leigh Sports Village is special in itself but doing it here in our hometown—surrounded by the people who’ve supported us from the very start—makes it truly unforgettable,” he added. “The fact that we get to welcome legends and friends like Frank Turner, Reverend and the Makers and Scouting for Girls to our town feels incredible. It’s Leigh opening its doors to the world, and we’re proud to be the ones hosting”.
With the latest announcement, The Lottery Winners become the third act ever to headline the LSV Stadium, following on from Elton John in 2014 and Lionel Richie in 2018. Tickets go on sale this Friday (September 26) at 9am, and pre-sale options will open from Wednesday (September 24). Visit here for tickets and more information.
The news of the new one-off show comes as the four-piece are the only act from Leigh ever to claim a UK Number One album.
They broke into the spotlight with their 2023 record ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’, and followed that up earlier this year with the ambitious ‘KOKO’. As well as playing a run of festival stages and headline shows, the band also locked in a summer support slot with Robbie Williams.
Joining him for his stadium shows across the UK and Europe, the support slot also saw Rylance and Katie Lloyd take to the stage alongside Williams as a part of his headline shows. Speaking of the group, the former Take That star said: “I’ve completely fallen in love with the Lottery Winners, and even when the tour was just two weeks in, I had a pang of sadness that their tenure with me can’t last forever.”
Later this year, the band will embark on their autumn 2025 UK tour, making stops at towns and cities including Cambridge, Frome, Edinburgh, Halifax and Cardiff. Visit here for tickets to those dates.
