The theft took place in Atlanta, Georgia this summer, when the pop star brought her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour to the city. Local authorities had received reports of theft from a vehicle that was reportedly rented by Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant.

In the vehicle were two suitcases, which included hard drives and two laptops containing watermarked and unreleased music from Beyoncé, footage plans for her upcoming shows, setlists for future concerts, as well as more sensitive information.

At the time, authorities issued an arrest warrant for a suspect, but their name was not revealed publicly.

Now, according to Rolling Stone, the Atlanta Police Department has made an arrest in connection to the theft.

The suspect, named Kelvin Evans, was taken into custody and booked into the Fulton County Jail on Tuesday August 26.

He was charged with Entering Automobile or Other Motor Vehicle With Intent to Commit Theft or Felony. Evans has not yet been released, and police report that “the stolen items have not been recovered at this time”.

In a 911 call released by the authorities, Grant said: “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there. I work with someone who’s, like, of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.”

Grant and singer Diandre Blue had reported having two suitcases stolen from a Jeep Wagoneer car rental, which contained “personal sensitive information for the musician Beyonce”.

Per the police call, the pair reported that the window to the boot of the vehicle had been smashed.

Light fingerprints were subsequently taken from the scene, and an incident report was confirmed. Auto larceny investigators then flagged a car in the area based on the information available. An arrest warrant for a suspect was issued on July 14.

Grant had reported that over $1,000 worth of clothing, Tom Ford sunglasses, a book bag, a Macbook Air and a pair of Apple headphones had also been stolen during the theft.

According to BBC News, police had tracked the location of the stolen items via the MacBook and AirPods’ “Find My” feature.

Beyoncé played four nights at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as part of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour. She later concluded the trek with two shows in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Last month, the singer sparked more speculation over her rumoured ‘Act III’ rock album after she appeared in a new Levi’s advert.

In other news, Tina Knowles has said her daughter Beyoncé calls her out for posting about their family “too much” online.
