Tate McRae Welcomes Megan Moroney for Duet of ‘6 Months Later’ at Nashville Show

“I’m such a massive fan,” McRae said of the country queen

This might be the country queen-pop princess link-up of the year. During her show in Nashville Thursday night, Tate McRae welcomed Megan Moroney for a duet of the country star’s chart-topping single, “6 Months Later.”

Toward the end of her third set, McRae brought Moroney onstage to a roaring crowd. “I’m so excited to announce a special guest tonight. I’m such a massive fan,” McRae said onstage. “Give it up for Megan Moroney!”

After the performance, Moroney posted a selfie of the pair with the caption “Girls!” McRae commented, calling Moroney, “My queen forever.” Moroney also shared a video of the performance on her Instagram Story, making a reference to the song’s lyrics: “Hey Tate, I think I want u back.”

McRae is deep on her Miss Possessive World Tour and is scheduled to hit several cities in Texas and on the West Coast through the end of the month. She’ll close the run with a show in Los Angeles on Nov. 8.

Meanwhile, Moroney returns to the Am I Okay? trek Friday night in Charleston, and is set to perform across the U.S. through mid-October before joining the Ridin’ Hearts Festival in Australia at the end of that month.

When she was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone‘s Future of Music earlier this year, Moroney said she and McRae became friends and reminisced about performing together in 2024. “She got me blue roses and wrote me a really sweet note,” Moroney said at the time. “It’s in my room at home.”

Both musicians are fresh off the heels of performing at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, where McRae’s “Just Keep Watching” won Song of the Summer and Moroney took home the award for Best Country.
