Chris Martin and co. kicked off the UK leg of the band’s extensive ‘Music Of The Spheres’ world tour with two huge stadium shows in Hull earlier this week.

Now, the band are heading to London to become the first act to play 10 sold-out dates at Wembley Stadium – breaking records held by Taylor Swift and Take That. For all UK dates this year, £1 from every ticket sold is being donated to support grassroots venues.

They’ll kick off the residency tomorrow (August 22), which will run until September 8. You can find a full list of dates further below.

Now, organisers have confirmed stage times for the gigs, with doors set to open at 16:45 (16:15 on Sundays), and the band expected to take to the stage at 20:20 (19:50 on Sundays).

As for support acts, all of the Wembley shows will begin with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, who are also expected to join Coldplay during their performance.

They’ll be followed by Palestinian-Chilean pop star Elyanna, featured on Coldplay’s 2024 single ‘We Pray’, taken from their last album ‘Moon Music‘.

For the first two nights, the final act before Coldplay will be Ayra Starr. Chloe Qisha will take her place on 26 and 27 August, followed by Beabadoobee on 30 and 31 August, and Tems for the final four dates.

AUGUST 2025
22 – London, Wembley Stadium
23 – London, Wembley Stadium
26 – London, Wembley Stadium
27 – London, Wembley Stadium
30 – London, Wembley Stadium
31 – London, Wembley Stadium

SEPTEMBER 2025

As previously mentioned, 10 per cent of the band’s proceeds from the Wembley and Hull shows will be donated to Music Venue Trust – to help fund their vital work supporting grassroots UK venues and upcoming artists.

Coldplay’s help comes after MVT’s long campaign for a mandatory levy of £1 for every ticket sold to a gig at arena level and above to go back into the grassroots, at a time when the UK is facing “the complete collapse of touring” with one venue closing every two weeks.

In quotes supplied exclusively to NME, the members explained why it was vital for them to help support local spaces and emerging talent.

“Organisations like Music Venue Trust are even more important in this country since Brexit, because it’s so much harder for new artists to play in Europe,” said Martin. “I just know that I would always want people younger than us to have even more opportunity than we had, and certainly not less.”

Last week, Chris Martin made headlines again by performing a secret set at a pub in Yorkshire, playing to an intimate crowd as a warm-up for the huge Hull stadium shows. “I want to sincerely say thank you so much for letting me play in your garden and on Monday in Hull I’ll be thinking of you all and how kind you’ve been to a southerner. I’m very grateful,” he said, as well as poking fun at a heckler.
