Carly Rae Jepsen Celebrates 10 Years of ‘Emotion’ With Intimate LA Show, Anniversary Re-Release

It’s been a decade since Carly Rae Jepsen‘s seminal album, Emotion, and she’s celebrating it big time. On Tuesday night, the pop star played a one-night-only show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, as she announced a re-release of her fan-favorite record, featuring six bonus songs.

“There are also jokes online about whether there would ever be a C-side? In October, we’re releasing six bonus tracks, and one comes out tonight,” she announced onstage about the track “More,” which she dropped on streaming services Thursday. “Thank you so much for the love you’ve shown this record.”

Jepsen, who originally dropped Emotion on June 24, 2025, will drop the complete 10-year anniversary LP on Oct. 19, featuring remixes of “Run Away With Me” and previously unreleased songs “More,” “Guardian Angel,” “Back of My Heart,” and “Lost in Devotion.” She also included “Cut to the Feeling” in the track list. The fan-favorite track didn’t have an album home previously. With those additions, a press release for Jepsen’s record calls the new version of the album the “definitive version of her pop opus.”

Tuesday night felt like an intimate celebration for Jepsen’s biggest fans — many of whom spent thousands on resold tickets and waited hours in line to squeeze into the 500-capacity venue. The singer performed Emotion in full, reviving tracks she hadn’t sung live in nearly a decade, including “Making the Most of the Night,” “Black Heart,” and the bonus cut “Love Again.”

After running through the album, she also played songs such as “Store,” “Cry,” and “Fever,” which were featured on her Emotion Side B EP. Aside from the album-less “Cut to the Feeling,” Jepsen only performed one non-Emotion track on Tuesday: “Call Me Maybe.”

Along with the digital release, fans of Jepsen will also be able to purchase several vinyl variants of Emotion to celebrate the release, including a blue swirl vinyl and a zoetrope vinyl with the original tracklist, along with a 2-LP magenta swirl version with a special cover artwork and an insert of the original cover art.
