Google auto-corrects Ed Sheeran to Rupert Grint after appearance in ‘A Little More’ video

Google have auto-corrected Ed Sheeran to Rupert Grint and vice versa to mark the latter’s appearance in the new video for ‘A Little More’.

Earlier this week, Sheeran released the official video for his new single, the latest teaser of his upcoming album ‘Play’, which is due out this September.

The video sees the Harry Potter star revive the doppelgänger stalker character that he first played in Sheeran’s ‘Lego House’ video back in 2011. In ‘A Little More’, Grint’s character is released from prison and is plagued by visions of Sheeran, only for the singer to also pop up at his wedding.

To mark the video’s release, Google has paid their own tribute by suggesting that anybody searching for Sheeran may actually be searching for Grint, and vice versa – see below.

Writing about Grint’s appearance in the video this week, Sheeran wrote: “I’m so glad he did. It’s such a fun, bonkers video. Longest video shoot I had ever done at that time, and deffo the most costume changes.”

“Rupert, my brother from another mother, thank you for throwing yourself into this, it wouldn’t exist had you said no.”

‘Play’ has also been previewed by three other singles: ‘Azizam’, ‘Old Phone’. and ‘Sapphire’, and the singer has said he plans to share new music every two or three weeks until the album’s release.

He recently revealed that ‘Play’ “was made as a direct response to the darkest period of my life”, before unveiling a guitar-heavy collaboration with John Mayer and Dave Grohl called ‘Drive’ for the F1 film.

Since then, Sheeran has announced three huge homecoming shows in Ipswich for this summer. Find any remaining tickets here.

In other news, back in July, Sheeran launched a new series of original works titled ‘Cosmic Carpark Paintings’, raising funds for his Ed Sheeran Foundation. The charity is a UK-wide initiative aimed at providing inclusive, high-quality music education for every child.
