Listen to Warmduscher’s electrifying new single ‘Yakuza’ – with remixes by David Holmes and Sworn Virgins

Warmduscher have released an electrifying new single ‘Yakuza’, which comes alongside remixes from David Holmes and Sworn Virgins.

The track was originally written during the sessions for their 2024 album ‘Too Cold To Hold’, but “stood out immediately, calling for a life of its own,” per a press release.

As well as the gritty, post-punk original shared today (July 29) via Strap Originals, the band have also shared two remixes. Holmes transforms the track into a dancefloor-filling, electronic anthem, while Sworn Virgins offer an industrial-infused, “punk-funk” take on the single.

Of his own remix, Holmes said: “It was a joy to remix this track. I love Warmduscher and all their incarnations – Decius, Sworn Virgins, Paranoid London.”

Meanwhile, Clams Baker Jr. of Warmduscher added: “‘Yakuza’ just had this sleazy, cinematic vibe that didn’t quite fit on the album—but we knew it had to live. When David Holmes jumped on the remix, the whole vision locked into place.”

Check out all three versions below.

Their last album included ‘Pure At The Heart’, their single featuring Confidence Man‘s Janet Planet, as well as ‘Staying Alive’ and ‘Fashion Week’. It also contained collaborations with Lianne La Havas, Coucou Chloe and more.

Next month, Warmduscher are performing at The Maccabees’ All Points East 2025 show on August 24, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of The Maccabees’ fourth and final album, ‘Marks To Prove It’. You can find any remaining tickets here.

Warmduscher join the likes of  The Futureheads, Westside Cowboy, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Cribs, Dry Cleaning, Nilüfer Yanya, The Murder Capital, Divorce, Prima Queen, CMAT, Black Country, New Road, Everything Everything, Sorry, Katy J Pearson, Youth Lagoon, TTSSFU and Max Baby and The Juice on the line-up.

They’ll also play Green Man Festival 2025, which kicks off between August 14-17. See the full line-up here.
