Oasis are officially back – the band have kicked off their first show together in 16 years. Here’s what the band have performed to kick off their Live ’25 reunion tour.
The band took over the Principality Stadium in Cardiff for the historic first show of their gargantuan Live ’25 reunion tour tonight (July 04). The show marked the first time Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher have shared a stage since their acrimonious split in 2009.
The brothers were joined by past members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, along with newcomer Joey Waronker on drums – as exclusively revealed by NME back in March.

Ahead of Oasis taking the stage, celebrities spotted in attendance included Emily Eavis and Danny Dyer. The audience erupted into deafening screams and cheers as the band’s backline was revealed, with a Manchester City flag over Noel’s amp.
Noel’s daughter Anaïs was also spotted in the crowd.
Wasting no time, Oasis kicked off their comeback set with 1995’s ‘Hello’ – which marks the first time it’s been performed live since 2002. They dove right into ‘Acquiesce’ next. “Yes, you beautiful people. It’s been too long! Oasis is in the area,” Liam said after.

Following ‘Stand By Me’, Liam addressed the audience: “What’s happening? You lot havin’ a good time, yeah? Is it worth the £40,000 you paid for the ticket?” Noel dedicated ‘Cast No Shadow’ to “the genius of Richard Ashcroft,” who played right before them.

After a quick break, Oasis returned for their encore, with Noel stepping up to the mic: “Thank you very much. Let’s hear it for Gem on the guitar, Andy Bell on bass guitar, our 14th drummer Mr Joey Waronker. And this fucking uber legend here,” referring to Bonehead.
Before launching into ‘The Masterplan,” he said: “This song is for all the people in their 20s who have never seen us before and kept this shit going for 20 years.”
Oasis closed out their first show back in 16 years with a trio of their arguably biggest numbers: ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’.

Ahead of Oasis taking the stage, Cast kicked things off with a short set that included ‘Sandstorm’, ‘Flying’ and more – frontman John Power also paid tribute to late Liverpool star Diogo Jota, who died recently.
Next up was Richard Ashcroft, who was “so glad to be here with the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band.” He then went straight into opener ‘Sonnet’, from The Verve’s classic 1997 album ‘Urban Hymns’ and closed out with ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ a couple of songs later.
Following tonight’s show in Cardiff, Oasis, Cast and Richard Ashcroft are due to play one more gig at Principality Stadium tomorrow (July 5) before the tour heads to Heaton Park in Manchester next week – check out the list of the remaining UK and Ireland dates here, including seven dates at London’s Wembley Stadium.
