Nearly a month after revealing she was diagnosed with early breast cancer, Jessie J is sharing some high hopes about her treatment. On Thursday, the “Price Tag” star shared some pros and cons about life post-op, and led with the faith that her “cancer has all gone” after surgery.
On the pros list, she included things such as “My nipple is where it used to be” and “I am getting to rest and talk to friends more than ever,” and also shouted out watching Love Island and some massages she’s been getting as the post-op positives.
On the con side? “Not being able to be the Mum I’m used to being and not picking Sky up or the person I’m used to being tbh. I don’t sit down ever,” she wrote before adding: “The fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone.” She added that the “pain and discomfort” post-op is “ok,” but a “dickhead” when she’s trying to sleep. Oh, and she’s also struggling with her bowel movements.
Jessie later cleared up her pros/cons list by stating that she doesn’t fully know if her cancer is gone but that she “hopes” it will be. “I only had my surgery 4 days ago. I was just saying the pros of surgery and this situation and being positive,” she wrote. “But I will get my results soon. And hopefully I can post that as a fact. But for now, I don’t know.”
She added: “I will stay positive and talk what I want into the universe.”

In early June, Jessie shared an Instagram video revealing that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer. “I’m highlighting the word ‘early,’” said Jessie. “Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.” When she revealed her diagnosis, she mentioned that she was “not processing it because I’m working so hard.”
Earlier this week, she shared a glimpse into her battle in a revelatory IG post. “I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Chanan is in a nurse outfit,” she wrote. “No no, he isn’t, but funny to imagine. Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!”
