Ciara has dropped a remix of her single “Ecstasy” featuring Teyana Taylor and Normani. The slick R&B track, which was originally released in April, was written by Ciara, Courtlin Jabrae, and Theron Thomas, and produced by Leather Jacket and Tommy (TBHITS) Brown.
“Teyana and Normani are true trailblazers, and their voices brought something really special to ‘Ecstasy,’” Ciara shared in a statement. “There’s a real sisterhood between us, and it felt powerful to come together on this remix! We each brought our own sauce to the track. It’s bold, nostalgic and full of energy. The fans have been asking for this and I’m so proud of what we created.”
Taylor added, “When Ci hit me about jumping on this remix, it was an automatic yes. To be a part of this moment with two queens I love so much! Not only do I get to call Ciara and Normani my friends I get to call them my sisters! That’s black girl magic. We bringing the sensual, the sisterhood, and the soul. Let’s go!”
“I am beyond excited to be on Ciara’s ‘Ecstasy’ remix, being on a song with two incredible entertainers like Ciara and Teyana is actually an out-of-body experience,” Normani said. “I have looked up to both of them for so long, they’re true legacy artists who have paved the way for a new generation and continue to empower others through their resilience, innovation, and impact. To now be on a record with them feels like a full-circle moment for me personally and an absolute honor. I am so grateful to be part of this collaboration, this is truly a celebration of powerful women in music, and I could not be prouder.”
Ciara’s last LP, Beauty Marks, arrived in 2019. She followed it with an EP, Ci Ci, in 2023. Last year, the singer collaborated with Busta Rhymes on single “Wassup,” also released via via Beauty Marks Entertainment. It marked the second new single from Ciara in 2024 following “Run It Up,” featuring BossMan Dlow.
