Reunited Alice Cooper Group Hit the Studio for Blistering New ‘Wild Ones’ Video

The new single will appear on The Revenge of Alice Cooper, which arrives July 25

The reunited Alice Cooper Group are getting ready to unleash The Revenge of Alice Cooper, the band’s first album in 50 years featuring the surviving original members, on July 25 — and they’ve given another taste from the record with “Wild Ones.” The song follows the album’s first single, “Black Mamba.”

Inspired by 1953’s The Wild One starring Marlon Brando, the song and video captures the rebellious spirit of the cult classic, with scenes of a motorcycle being driven on an open road and birds in flight. The road clips are interspersed with the band in the studio tracking the song, which showcases the easygoing chemistry between them as they cut the blistering song.

“Yeah, we’re the wild ones, we live in every town/We own the city streets, we rule the underground/There is no cagin’ us, you’ll suffer if you try,” Cooper grittily sings on one of the verses. “We got the rage in us, cause it makes us feel alive.”

The 14-song set will also feature a posthumous appearance by original guitarist Glen Buxton, who died in 1997, via previously unreleased song, “What Happened to You.” The box set edition will include a rediscovered 1970 version of “Return of the Spiders,” which was remixed by producer Bob Ezrin, and “Titanic Overunderture,” which blends vintage recordings with newly tracked performances.

This fall, Cooper will hit the road for a co-headlining tour with Judas Priest across 22 North American cities.
