CMAT’s latest single has inspired a new TikTok dance trend – check out contributions from Amelia Dimoldenberg, Julia Fox, Cher Lloyd and more below.
The trend comes following the release of the empowering new single ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’, which was shared by CMAT at the start of last month and will feature in her upcoming album ‘EURO-COUNTRY’.
In the song, the Irish singer-songwriter – real name Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson – decided to stand up against those who have criticised her appearance in the past, and encourage women to stand up against societal pressures.
Now, one section of the song has gone viral and inspired fans of the track to perform it in their own distinctive style.
Contributions have come from former NME cover star Lola Young, as well as Uncut Gems star Julia Fox, who each shared videos of them miming along to the second verse: “I did the butcher, I did the baker/ I did the home and the family maker/ I did school girl fantasies/ Oh, I did leg things and hand stuff/ And single woman banter/ Now tell me, what was in it for me?”

Former X Factor star Cher Lloyd has gotten involved in the trend too, as have actor Liz Gillies, rugby player Ilona Maher, actor Jennifer Stone, Chicken Shop Date’s Amelia Dimoldenberg and more.

Released last month, the track came on the heels of ‘EURO COUNTRY’s uplifting lead single ‘Running/Planning’.
“EURO-COUNTRY is, I think, the best thing I have ever made,” CMAT said. “I felt halfway through recording it was the most important record I’ve made for myself… mainly because it was making me go crazy,” she shared. “I’m always going to make the work I want to make, because there is a little gremlin in my head that tells me if it’s shit.
“More than success, there’s a bigger gremlin that wants me to make music that’s really good. She’s brutal and has ruined my life at times, but she is the keeper of my life and she’s always right.”
The record is set for release on August 29 and available to pre-order here.
In other CMAT news, the singer will be playing huge festival slots at Primavera, Wide Awake and Glastonbury this summer, and also recently confirmed details of four Glasto warm-up gigs, taking place across the UK shortly before the Worthy Farm appearance.
