Kasabian announce two UK “intimate warm-up shows”

Kasabian have announced a pair of “intimate” UK gigs for this summer. Find all the details below.

The Leicester band will take to the stage at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle on July 21, before heading to Edinburgh for a performance at the Corn Exchange on July 23. They’ll be joined by some yet-to-be-confirmed special guests.

“We’ve missed you! Can’t wait to play these two intimate warm-up shows ahead of our UK festivals this summer,” Serge Pizzorno and co. wrote on social media. “Small shows so get in quick!”

Tickets go on general sale at 9:30am BST this Friday (June 6) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, you can find pre-sale information via Ticketmaster. Check out the announcement post here:

Following the forthcoming dates, Kasabian will top the bill at Truck Festival in Oxfordshire and Tramlines in Sheffield. Next week, they’ll headline the O Son Do Camino Festival in Spain.

The band released their most recent album, ‘Happenings’, last summer. In a four-star review, NME wrote: “At just 28 minutes in length, Kasabian’s eighth studio effort is concise, precise and generally focused. This allows a vibrant emotional clarity to bleed through its swaggering fabric, adding up to Kasabian’s strongest album in some years.”

They celebrated its release by playing a huge homecoming concert at Leicester’s Victoria Park, which followed a surprise set at Glastonbury 2024.

Speaking to NME at the BRIT Awards 2025 in March, frontman Pizzorno reflected on the response to Kasabian’s latest record, and hinted at more to come soon.

“The new tunes feel like they’ve been around for years, so things are great,” he explained. “There will be some surprise announcements imminent within the next year or so. We’re going to be in the studio putting pen to paper…”

Kasabian last performed in the UK for BRITs Week ’25 in February, before playing a string of Australian dates with Blossoms the following month.
