Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Returns to No. 1 on U.K. Albums Chart

Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet is back at No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart for a fifth non-consecutive week on Friday (May 30).

The “Espresso” star first hit the top spot upon release back in August 2024, and the LP has returned to the summit intermittently ever since; Short n’ Sweet was last at No. 1 in March following her appearance at the 2025 BRIT Awards. The LP is yet to leave the top five since its release.

Pop duo Sparks has earned a career-high with its 28th studio LP, MAD!, which finishes at No. 2, and gives the pair its seventh top 40 LP overall.

Speaking to the Official Charts Company, the Mael brothers said, “We’re so deeply appreciative of the way our new album MAD! has been embraced by all of you, to such an extent that it’s reached No. 2, our highest chart position ever! Hard to believe! We will continue — to paraphrase a certain band, Sparks — to ‘do things our own way,’ knowing the support we’re getting from all of you. See you soon on the U.K. leg of our tour in June and July!”

Ed Sheeran’s +–=÷× (Tour Collection) finishes the week at No. 3, while blues band When Rivers Meet debuts at No. 4 with Addicted to You, the group’s highest finish to date. Following her recent live shows throughout the U.K., Tate McRae’s So Close to What leaps four places No. 5; the record previously peaked at No. 2 back in March.

The remainder of the top 40 is populated with new releases from Skunk Anansie (The Painful Truth, No. 7), Louise (Confessions, No. 8), Sports Team (Boys These Days, No. 11), Stereolab (Instant Holograms on Metal Film, No. 29) and Myles Smith (A Minute, A Moment…, No. 32).
