Fivio Foreign Pleads Guilty to Making Terroristic Threats in Plea Deal

Fivio Foreign has been behind bars since January, but a resolution in his gun case appears to be on the horizon. New Jersey court records reviewed by Billboard on Wednesday (May 28) showed that the Brooklyn rapper (born Maxie Lee Ryles III) pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree terroristic threats.

Fivio’s attorney, Adam Lustberg, explains to Billboard that his client’s guilty plea comes in exchange for the state of New Jersey’s agreement to “drop the four firearms-related charges” tied to the case, which include unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault.

Lustberg adds that as part of the agreement, the state agreed “to seek probation at the time of sentencing.”

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office tells Billboard that Fivio Foreign is due for sentencing on Aug. 1, but Lustberg says he believes it could happen much sooner than that if all parties involved are ready to proceed.

According to TMZ, Fivio Foreign was arrested on New Year’s Day in New Jersey after a woman claimed that the “Big Drip” rapper pulled a gun on her when she asked him to jump her car while pulled over.

On the music side, Fivio is gearing up to unleash his Movie Theater Music joint EP with Gino Mondana, which is set to arrive on Aug. 8, so it’s possible the Brooklyn native will be a free man by the time the project hits DSPs.

Earlier this year, Fivio released his “Plaqueboymax” diss track against the streamer and hopped into his country-drill bag with Caldwell for “Get Out the Way.”
