Bryan Adams, Mel C, Cassyette and more have been announced to play the Friday edition of Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus 2025.
The festival held at Don Valley Bowl will return from August 27-30 this year, where Queens Of The Stone Age, James, Reverend & The Makers have been announced to headline.
Now, Bryan Adams will join the ranks, replacing the previously announced Wombats as headliners for the festival’s Friday show on August 29. Excitingly, Spice Girls‘ Mel C has also been announced to be supporting Bryan as a special guest.
The singer previously duetted with Adams the 1998 song ‘When You’re Gone’ as Mel’s first single outside the iconic girl group, and she could potentially collaborate with Adams on stage.
Adams and Mel will also be joined by ‘Dream Catch Me’ singer Newton Faulkner, electro-rock musician Cassyette and indie folk artist Nell Mescal. Somebody’s Child, Ashley Singh, Deco, Bethany Grace, Crystal Tides, Femur, The Crookes, Sundress, Charlie Floyd, and Alice Ede will round out Friday’s lineup.
Festival director Ali O’Reilly said of the news: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Bryan Adams to Rock N Roll Circus. His catalogue of hits and legendary live performances are the stuff of rock folklore, and having him headline Friday night means fans are in for a real treat.”

Adams has recently wrapped up the ‘Roll With The Punches’ tour, stopping by the UK for an arena tour this month. He is set to drop his latest album of the same name on the day that he headlines Rock N Roll Circus.
Recently, Bryan Adams shared the origins of his “first real six-string” from ‘Summer Of ’69’.
Contrary to the song’s lyrics, the guitar was not bought at a “five and dime”, but at a music shop in Reading in 1970, when he was 12-years-old. Upon living in Israel for a year with his father, who worked for the Canadian embassy, Adams left his guitar in the country when he moved back to Canada.
Adams then went on to say he received an email from a stranger asking if he’d like his original guitar back. Though Adams enthusiastically agreed, he never heard from the person again – until 10 years later.
“I’m in a club in Berlin and this guy walks to me and he said, ‘Brian, I have your guitar. I have the guitar from your childhood.’” The man then told Adams he was a friend of the person who had emailed him years earlier, who had sadly died in a plane crash; he inherited the guitar and wanted to fulfil his late friend’s wish of returning it to Adams.
In other news, Adams confirmed the launch of his own record label, and celebrated the announcement by sharing a new double A-side single.
