Axl Rose Gets Acquainted With the Floor in Onstage Fall Compilation

The official Guns N’ Roses account on Instagram shared a minute-long video of the singer wiping out at their live shows

Guns N’ Roses laugh at themselves — and especially frontman Axl Rose — in a new compilation of the singer’s onstage wipeouts. The band’s official Instagram account shared a video that pulled together clips from different times that Rose has fallen during their live performances, some even dating back to the Eighties.

Set to their classic “Welcome to the Jungle,” the video has enough footage for a full minute of content. “Guns N’ Roses Greatest Hits,” the band captioned the clips. In some scenes, Rose falls on his back. In others, he’s face-planting. In one, he misses the end of the stage and walks right over the edge.

The 63-year-old’s latest fall happened over the weekend, when he tripped while running up the stairs during their performance of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” in Mumbai. The clip is the second to appear in the compilation.

Guns N’ Roses recently kicked off their Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things World Tour, which will make stops across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East through the end of July. For select shows, the band will be joined by Public Enemy, Rival Sons, and Sex Pistols. The tour marks their first with new drummer Isaac Carpenter, who replaced Frank Ferrer earlier this year.

“Carpenter has made a name for himself by uniquely blending versatility and groove with crushing force and technical skill, cementing his reputation as a multifaceted drummer in the industry,” the band said in a statement at the time. From behind a drum kit, at least, Carpenter doesn’t have to worry about falling on his face in front of thousands of people.
