“That was a childhood dream come fucking true,” the musician acknowledged during the show
Jelly Roll enlisted Eminem for a rendition of the rapper’s 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” at Detroit’s Ford Field on Sunday night. Jelly Roll started the Oscar-winning song himself before being joined by Eminem for the second verse.
“Detroit, what up?! Make some noise for Jelly Roll!” Eminem shouted at the end of the song. “Long time, no see. I love y’all. Peace!”
As he left the stage, Jelly Roll affirmed, “If you can’t tell, that was a childhood dream come fucking true, Detroit. This is the greatest show I’ve ever had in my fucking life.” He added that Eminem’s music “helped me through the darkest moments of my life.”
