Modest Mouse have announced a second new festival

Modest Mouse have announced their second new festival this month – find out more below.

Last night (April 24), the band took to social media to announce the Psychic Salamander Festival, which is due to take place in Washington this September. Modest Mouse will headline both days.

They will be joined by the likes of The Flaming Lips, Courtney Barnett, Built To Spill, The Vaudevillian and Mattress on September 13, and The Flaming Lips, Sleater-Kinney, Yo La Tengo, recent NME The Cover stars Friko and Sun Atoms on September 14.

General sales begin next week (May 2) at 10am local time, while pre-sales for those who have signed up for their Ice Cream Party club go live on April 29 at 10am Pacific – you can get your tickets here.

The Psychic Salamander Festival marks the second festival that Modest Mouse have announced this month. Earlier in April, they announced their very own cruise festival, Ice Cream Floats.

Ice Cream Floats, the debut edition of their cruise festival, is due to set sail in February next year. The three-day cruise will take place between February 5 and 9, and will charter between Miami and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Modest Mouse will be headlining three nights of the festival, while other acts include Portugal. The Man, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Mannequin Pussy and more – tickets to Modest Mouse’s Ice Cream Floats can be purchased here.
