The musician plays Jackman’s daughter in a soon-to-be-released film starring Kate Hudson
Hugh Jackman is set to play King Princess‘ dad in an upcoming film, and the pair showed off their father-daughter chemistry during a sweet performance over the weekend. King Princess joined Jackman during one of his recent shows at Radio City Music Hall for a rendition of Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe.”
In the video shared by King Princess, Jackman opens the song, and King Princess continues on guitar as Jackman cheerfully dances, channeling Cher. “C’mon, KP!” exclaims Jackman in one clip. “radio city baby,” King Princess captioned her post Monday.
Jackman is set to play the lead in Craig Brewer’s Song Sung Blue, a biopic about a Neil Diamond tribute act this December. In it, King Princess is set to play Jackman’s daughter as part of a cast that also features Kate Hudson, Michael Imperioli, and Fisher Stevens. “I can’t take this! ❤️❤️” commented Hudson on King Princess’ post about the performance.
On Tuesday, Hudson shared a photo of herself on set with Jackman for Song Sung Blues, calling Jackman “the most lovely work husband you could ask for.” She added, “More love notes for everyone involved to come… but right now I am just so excited to share with you that we have a release date.”

Jackman is currently headlining over a dozen appearances at Radio City Music Hall this year on his From New York with Love residency, with shows set for May 23 and 24, June 20 and 21, July 18 and 19, Aug. 15 and 16, Sept. 19 and 20, and Oct. 3 and 4.
