Forthcoming Avicii Compilation Album Will Feature a Never-Before-Released Song

A forthcoming compilation album will feature a collection of many of Avicii‘s biggest hits, along with a never before released song.

Titled Avicii Forever, the compilation will be released on May 16 via Interscope Records. The compilation is a project by Interscope, the Avicii Estate and Pophouse, which acquired 75% of the late producer’s recording and publishing rights in 2022.

Avicii Forever will include many of the artist born Tim Bergling’s biggest hits — including 2011’s “Levels,” 2013’s “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother” — and a flurry of other big and beloved songs from his catalog, including music from the 2019 posthumous album, Tim. It is the second compilation project of the Swedish producer’s music since his 2018 death, with the 2021 Live A Life You Will Remember EP featuring six of the same songs that are on Avicii Forever.

Additionally, the project will include a new song called “Let’s Ride Away” featuring vocals from country star Elle King. This version is a take on a song Bergling wrote with Kacey Musgraves before his death that originally featured Musgraves’ vocals. (This song was written for an Avicii project, but did not make it on. Several leaked versions of the song currently exist online under the title “Ride Away.”)

Final mixing on “Let’s Ride Away” was completed posthumously by longtime collaborator Carl Falk, who also recorded King’s vocals. Hear a very brief teaser of “Let’s Ride Away” below and see the tracklist and album cover for Avicii Forever.

The compilation follows a series of recent Avicii projects created collaboration with the Avicii Estate (which is run by the producer’ father, Klas Bergling) and Pophouse. In December, the Avicii documentary I’m Tim was released on Netflix, alongside a film of the producer’s last ever live show, which happened at Ushuaïa Ibiza in TK. A photo book, Avicii: The Life and Music of Tim Bergling, was released in 2024 and came around the same time as an auction of some of the late artist’s personal items that happened in his hometown of Stockholm and raised $750,000 for charity. A museum focused on Avicii’s life and work, the Avicii Experience, opened in 2022 in Stockholm.
