Kim Petras & Trixie Mattel Will Headline the First-Ever Outloud Music Festival in Boston

If you’re still looking for a way to celebrate Pride Month in the U.S. this year, then Outloud has some good news for you: The organization just announced a second location for its annual music festival with a pair of buzzy headliners.

On Monday (April 14), the organization announced its first-ever Outloud Music Festival in Boston for 2025. Set to take place on June 21 at The Stage at Suffolk Downs, the event will feature their inaugural headliners — pop singer Kim Petras and drag star Trixie Mattel (performing her renowned DJ set) — alongside a host of other queer artists joining throughout the day, including Flo Milli, Rebecca Black, G Flip, Frankie Grande and more.

This will be Petras’ second Outloud gig of 2025. The pop singer will also be performing at the organization’s fourth annual music festival at WeHo Pride on May 31, alongside headliners Lizzo and Lil Nas X. Mattel, meanwhile, is just coming off her debut DJ set at Coachella’s Do LaB stage, which she branded as the “Solid pink desert disco” in a post to her Instagram on Sunday (April 13).

“OUTLOUD understands the assignment: queer talent, great music, and hot people!” Mattel said in a statement released with the news. “Getting the opportunity to bring that energy to Boston for the first time is such an honor, and I’m so ready to serve on stage.”

Jeff Consoletti, the founder and executive producer at Outloud, added in a statement that the festival aims to “uplift queer voices” in a political moment where the LGBTQ+ community is facing unprecedented attacks on the national stage. “Bringing the Outloud Music Festival to my hometown of Boston is a surreal and full circle moment for me, a moment that isn’t lost in today’s climate of hostility towards my LGBTQ community,” he wrote.

Tickets for Outloud Boston go on presale starting Wednesday (April 16) at 12 p.m. ET, while the general onsale begins on Friday (April 18) at 10 a.m. ET. You can register for early access tickets here.
