Post Malone, Shaboozey Bring the Whiskey, Junior H the Tequila, and More Coachella Highlights

A sprinkle of Stagecoach’s country allure blessed the final day of Coachella 2025. Shaboozey started it all with his “Country Hour” set, and Post Malone ended it as he revved up to F-1 Trillion during his headlining performance. Sunday featured guests galore across the stages from Addison Rae announcing an album at Arca’s set to Ty Dolla $ign transforming the Sahara tent into a star-studded jailhouse rap party with Wiz Khalifa, Tyga, Roddy Ricch among others.

Thanks to Junior H, Mexico made its way to the main stage, continuing a four-year trend of música mexicana being repped at Coachella’s most-celebrated stage. He welcomed Peso Pluma, who played the year prior, and shared a message of “unity” among musicians of the genre amid uncertainty about the music’s future in Trump’s America.

Other highlights included Megan Thee Stallion making way for some of her besties — Queen Latifah, Victoria Monét, and Ciara — to perform duets of their biggest songs and their collaborations, Arca bringing out Tokischa and Rae, who announced her album’s release date, at the Gobi stage, and Jennie duetting with Kali Uchis from the Outdoor Theatre.

These are some of the best things we saw on Coachella 2025’s final day:

Junior H

Junior H lit up Coachella’s main stage with a high-energy set celebrating Mexican music. He opened with “Mientras Duermes” and “Rockstar,” performing tracks from Sad Boys 4 Life II as backdrops of hearts and weed plants took over the screen. Most notably, guests Tito Double P and Peso Pluma joined for “Luna” and “5-7” respectively. Junior steered clear of narcocorridos, instead focusing on his love songs. ”We need to unite now more than ever,” Peso Pluma said, as Junior replied, “Que vivan los corridos.” —T.M.

Hope Tala

Set underneath extravagant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling of the Gobi Tent, Hope Tala gave fans a breezy, refreshing dance party with her Coachella debut — a breezy mix of tracks from her just-released LP Hope Handwritten and even a Lily Allen cover of “Smile” (“This is my English queen,” the songwriter said.”) The British R&B pop star ended her Coachella set with the 2022 track “Leave It On the Dancefloor.” And that’s exactly what we did. — John Lonsdale

Arca

Dressed in custom Rick Owens and black leather, Arca started the set with exactly the level of drama we expect from her. She rose from the ground slowly and then shouted at the crowd, “Where are the Venezuelan dolls at?” Immediately, she dove into the brash “Rakata,” from Kick II. Partway through the set, she brought out Dominican singer Tokischa, and the two of them traded celestial vocals while performing “Chama,” and then Addison Rae came out to perform “Aquamarine / Arcamarine”— and to announce that her album is coming out on June 6th. — Julyssa Lopez

Zedd

Backed by a light show, Zedd’s set started like many other EDM performances. But no one in the crowd expected the German DJ to bring out this many gets to his Outdoor Theatre set. Dressed in a turquoise butterfly top and matching wig, Elley Duhé was the first guest of the night to play “Happy Now,” as Zedd jumped from behind the DJ booth as he brought out John Mayer, who took over the set for a jam session, that included “New Light” and “Stop This Train.” Mare — T.M.

The Beaches

“This is a dream come true,” Canadian rock band The Beaches told the crowd at their rocking Coachella debut performance on Sunday afternoon. The festival mainstays kept the Gobi Stage singing and moving to every line, track after track, from “Everything Is Boring” to a surprise G Flip-featured track to their closing banger “Blame Brett.” (Are you ready to blame your exes?” they asked before tearing into the song.) Fans flashed the band, beers were delivered to the stage, and, of course, exes were blamed. — John Lonsdale

Shaboozey

Stagecoach might be two weeks away, but Shaboozey brought “Country Hour” to the desert. The Nigerian American country star took the stage in an Elvis Presley-reminiscent look as he played a nine-song set, introduced by RJ Cyler, who played an old-school TV host. Shaboozey brought Noah Cyrus, dressed in a gorgeous white dress, to the stage for a banjo-backed rendition of their collaboration “My Fault.” And of course, the country star closed his “Let’s turn this shit the fuck up,” Shaboozey said onstage. — T.M.

Jennie

That pretty girl mantra was in full swing during Jennie’s set. Dressed in a wine-red two-piece and chunky boots, the Blackpink star took the stage for a stunning, choreography-filled set of songs from her excellent album Ruby. Surrounded by numerous dancers, the Korean singer played “Handlebars” and “Zen” before welcoming Kali Uchis for an ethereal rendition of “Damn Right.” Jennie also brought a hint of JLo to the Polo Fields as performed “with the IE (way up),” which samples the iconic “Jenny From the Block.” “Y’all keeping up?” Jennie told the crowd throughout the night. — T.M.

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion’s Coachella performance was an example of how she gives everything to her fans. The star-studded, high-production spectacle included guest appearances from Queen Latifah, Victoria Monét, and Ciara — and even though Megan briefly faced a technical glitch, she barely blinked and kept moving like a pro. At the end, she faced another mic cut after running a bit overtime, but still ended on a charming note:  “Bitch, they said we gotta go!” she shouted before hoping offstage. “Hotties, I gotta go — I love y’all and thank y’all!” — J.L.

Ty Dolla $ign

We’re not exactly sure what caused Ty Dolla $ign to transform his Sahara tent stage into a jailhouse, but it was sure a choice! (Erm, maybe it’s the Ye of it all is wearing off on him.) The musician rapped and sang from behind a barbed wire fence on the stage, as dancers played the role of fellow prisoners and prison guards. In between guest appearances from YG for “Toot It and Boot It” and Tyga for “I’m So Rich,” a curvalicious, female guard strutted around the stage, weaving between the performers. Later in the set, Ty brought out Roddy Ricch for “Bacc Seat,” and played bass as Leon Thomas blessed with his soothing R&B vocals for “Mutt.” Wiz Khalifa also performed with the star for “Something New” and “Or Nah” before closing the show with his song with Ye, “Carnival.” — T.M.

Post Malone
Post Malone could’ve relied on a star-studded lineup of guests for his Coachella headlining debut Sunday night. Instead, the singer-songwriter relied on himself and his decade-long catalogue for a jaw-dropping, pyrotechnics-heavy set that saw the rockstar playing country hits from F-1 Trillion (“I Had Some Help,” “Losers”) to classics from his early days (“White Iverson”).
