Drake rarely sits down for interviews these days, but he reunited with Bobbi Althoff for round two on Tuesday (Sept. 2), when Althoff launched her Not This Again podcast.
The duo originally linked up in 2023 for an interview but had a falling out that resulted in both parties agreeing to scrub the chat from YouTube.
“Welcome to the nicest thing that any guy has ever done for you,” Drake quipped. “You came around at an interesting time in your life and I think that I took a lot of the weight and blame at that time when you needed to get a little active on somebody. I think I took some hits, verbally.”
He added: “You made me feel like our interview was the reason your life was bad. So I just said I’m gonna get rid of the interview and you won’t ever have to see it again a day in your life.”
Drake says the interview opened the floodgates for artists to sit down with more streamers instead of traditional media.
“What we did changed a lot of things for a lot of people. It was me just recognizing somebody that I never met in my life that I fully believed in,” he said. “It pissed off all these f—ing losers and storied journalists who feel so entitled to this interview, ‘Drake never does anything for this type of media.’ And it made people so angry.”
Drake continued: “It changed a lot of things in the streaming world, it made people feel more comfortable to sit down with somebody they’ve never sat down with before. … I feel like we did usher in the idea of you can be from two completely different walks of life. Celebrities, the goal is not to be some unattainable di–head for your whole life and only sit with Zane Lowe while he asks you the most curated and formal questions.”
While the 6 God remains on the road overseas touring Europe, he and Bobbi delved into plenty of interesting topics throughout the 80-minute convo. Here are the top six things we learned from it.

Defends Himself From ‘Culture Vulture’ Label
Drake explained that he feels there are a lot of people who are “guilt-tripping” him in his life, although his intentions remain pure with how he’s moving. The conversation moved into the “culture vulture” label that gets thrown at him, which he pushed back on as an artist who swerves into numerous genres and lends his platform to plenty of emerging artists.
“It’s the same way even in music. People will be like, ‘Oh, you’re a culture vulture.’ Or people will describe the collaborative efforts that I’ve put forth and the artists that I’ve picked up and lifted up or shone a light on as me taking,” he explained. “They’ll put a negative spin on it and try and tell me that it’s a self-serving thing or whatever, and I think I get really sensitive about that.”

He’s Destined to End Up With a ‘Goth Baddie’
Drake is still waiting to settle down and find the one, as he described his ideal woman as a “tweaked out goth tatted all over… A goth baddie with absolute o-cups.” When questioned by Althoff, he added that she needs to be funny and that type of woman can be found at Comic Con.

Reflects on Spending Nine Hours in Swedish Jail
Back in July 2022, Drake’s team reportedly dispelled rumors he was arrested in Sweden. However, Drake revealed he indeed was arrested during his Swedish trip, which resulted in him spending nine hours in Jail.
“Because I got arrested for nothing,” he said. “Apparently, well, we did a private party and one of the guys, the officers, his girl came to the private party. But they arrested me way too aggressive and they arrested me for nothing.”
Drake actually rapped about the scent of a “Swedish jail cell” on Her Loss cut “Middle of the Ocean.” He later posted footage of what appeared to be him being detained by authorities to social media.

WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley Is His Current ‘Muse’
Drake often cites various women for creative inspiration, and his latest muse is WWE superstar Rhea Ripley, who’s all over his Instagram explore page. “My [For You page] is just all Rhea Ripley,” he said around the 28-minute mark. “She’s a wrestler. She’s like my muse, but I’m the opposite of probably everything that she likes.”

He’s Not ‘Scared’ of Returning to Los Angeles
Drake spent much of the 2010s tucked away in the Hidden Hills of swanky Calabasas before building his Toronto estate. Following the battle with Kendrick Lamar, many have wondered when Drake would return to L.A. and Althoff asked if he’s been “scared away from L.A.?”
“Am I scared away? No,” he said, seemingly repulsed by the question. “I’ll be back.”

Denies He’s Had Cosmetic Surgery to Enhance His Abs or Butt
Drake faced allegations of having sculpted ads in June after posting a shirtless selfie in June, which appeared to have his six-pack edited, but he said that’s not the case.
“No,” he replied when asked about ever having ab surgery. He also joked about Metro Boomin trolling him with the “BBL Drizzy” diss, but admitted he may used an app’s filter for the ab photo.
“I think it was just like I came from the gym. I was sweaty in that pic,” he said. “Maybe I like heightened the saturation or something on it. I hit it too hard. They don’t look like that. You saw them.”
