2026 Grammys Share the Love Among Pop Winners Lola Young, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Olivia Dean & More

There was a lot of pop love to go around at Sunday’s 2026 Grammy Awards, where four different artists won in the Big Four categories and the pop categories shared the wealth.

While she lost best new artist to Olivia Dean, Lola Young was a surprise winner in best pop solo performance for “Messy.” And even though Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande’s “Defying Gravity” duet won for best pop duo/group performance, “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters got its win elsewhere, for best song written for visual media. Lady Gaga might have missed out on a Big Four win, but she was still a two-time winner on Sunday night (best pop vocal album for MAYHEM and best dance pop recording for “Abracadabra”). And Billie Eilish even snagged an award for a track from her 2024 album, when “Wildflower” won song of the year.

Listen to the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast to hear more about a very egalitarian year at the Grammys.

Also on the show, we’ve got chart news on how we have brand-new No. 1s on both the Billboard 200 albums chart (Megadeth’s self-titled, first-ever chart-topper) and the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart (Harry Styles’ “Aperture,” the lead single from March’s Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally).
