Watch Måneskin’s Damiano David play first solo gig in New York

Måneskin‘s Damiano David made his live solo debut at an intimate show in New York last night (October 28). Check out footage and the setlist below.

The rocker took over (Le) Poisson Rouge  – a barnlike multimedia concert venue, bar & art gallery in New York City’s Greenwich Village last night and treated lucky fans to a special performance of his new solo work.

‘An Evening with Damiano David’ kicked off with the singer performing his debut solo track ‘Silverlines’. Previously speaking to NME about why he chose that track in particular to introduce his solo era, the singer shared: “Because it’s pretty unique compared to other songs on the record. Weirdly, it’s the first song but for me, it’s the closing of the circle and the end of my journey. Also, it’s with Labrinth – to make my debut with one of the biggest producers in the world is amazing.”

David then performed his latest single ‘Born With A Broken Heart’ and treated those in attendance to three new unreleased songs ‘Next Summer’, ‘Voices’ and ‘The Bruise’.

Damiano David’s setlist at (Le) Poisson Rouge was:

1. ‘Silverlines’
2. ‘Born With a Broken Heart’
3. ‘Next Summer’
4. ‘Voices’
5. ‘The Bruise’

Previously speaking to NME about his forthcoming album, David shared: “I think it’s safe to say yes. It’s going to be very excessive, very dramatic, very theatrical, I would say. It’s definitely more personal. It’s about the drama of being alive; especially under the circumstances.”

He also discussed the video for ‘Silverlines’ which was more of a short movie and said: “It’s basically a very metaphorical representation of the meaning of the songs, so there’s the turning off to get back to life, finding the key to access the street that gets to happiness, and the stages of my life.”

However, David was also sure to make it clear that just because the members of Måneskin are currently exploring solo careers, it doesn’t mean the band’s come to and end: “We’re in training to get back different, better and harder.”
