The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, and Alvvays to Perform at Just Like Heaven 2024 Festival

Just Like Heaven is returning for the fourth annual festival in May. Both the Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie, two groups led by Ben Gibbard, will perform during the one-day event on Saturday, May 18.

Other artists scheduled to perform include Phoenix, The War on Drugs, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Alvvays, Two Door Cinema Club, Phantogram, Metric, Gossip, Tegan and Sara, Washed Out, and many more. A Club Called Rhonda, a pansexual dance party that began as a monthly event in LA’s Silver Lake neighborhood, will also take place at Just Like Heaven.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Postal Service’s Give Up, the band plans to perform the entire album, including hits “Such Great Heights” and “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight.” Death Cab for Cutie will also commemorate and perform Transatlanticism for its 20th year.

“We are thrilled to headline Just Like Heaven,” Gibbard shared in a statement. “It’s a great festival and opportunity to bring the 20th anniversary celebration of ‘Give Up’ and ‘Transatlanticism’ back to the Los Angeles area.”

Just Like Heaven marks Gossip’s first U.S. festival performance following the heavily anticipated Real Album, the group’s first album in over a decade. Swedish electropop group Miike Snow returns after their 2019 performance at the festival, while Brazilian indie rock band CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy) will celebrate their 20th anniversary.

In 2023, Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlined the festival, with additional performances from MGMT, Future Islands, Empire of the Sun, M83, Hot Chip, Caribou, and others.

Ticket prices for general admission start at $159, VIP passes cost $379, and special “Clubhouse” experiences cost $649. Passes go on sale Friday, Jan. 26.
