Tanner Adell shares new songs in album sampler ahead of Sabrina Carpenter BST Hyde Park slot

Tanner Adell has shared four new songs as an album sampler, ahead of her appearance at Sabrina Carpenter’s BST Hyde Park show.

The California-raised glam-country singer and former NME Cover star is on the bill for the second night of Carpenter’s residency at the London event, which is taking place on Sunday (July 6).

With the ‘Espresso’ star headlining, the rest of the bill sees Adell joined by Clairo, Olivia Dean, Amber Mark, Chloe Qisha, Ider, Miso Extra, Dellaxoz and The Two Lips.

Ahead of that, Adell has released a number of new tracks, titled ‘Don’t Pet (Sampler)’. It includes the songs ‘Tap That’, ‘Side Peach’, ‘Giddy Up Gorgeous’ and ‘Do Angels Drink Whiskey’, and you can listen to them all here:

Writing on Instagram on Friday (July 4), Adell wrote: “‘Do angels drink whiskey’ out tonight. Along with 4 new songs from me to you. I added this song to the album sampler because I know it’s been a fan favorite ever since I teased it on tt a year and a half ago. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy! All I ask is that you share this project with your loved ones like I’m sharing it with you! Love you all so much!”

In addition to the Hyde Park show, Adell is also currently touring around the UK and Ireland, with dates in Manchester’s Academy 3 on Tuesday (July 8) and Dublin’s Green Room on Wednesday (July 9). Find any remaining tickets here.

For The Cover, Adell discussed breaking the rules of traditional country music, by blending in different musical influences to create her own sound. “Whenever you’re trying to do something different, there’s always going to be people telling you it won’t work,” she told NME. “Paving my own path, especially sound-wise in my music, makes it harder, but I think it’s going to pay off in the long run.”

Check out an exclusive 12-song playlist Adell made for NME here, titled ‘Going Blonde (While Trying To Avoid A Disco Attack)’, including tracks by Donna Summer, Bee Gees and Diana Ross.

Adell released her debut album ‘Buckle Bunny’ in July 2023 via Columbia Records, and went on to appear on the ‘Blackbird’ cover on Beyonce’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ album.
