Sampha Is Bringing ‘Lahai’ Back on the Road With 2024 North American Tour

Sampha will spend spring 2024 on the road continuing to promote his latest LP Lahai as the British singer has mapped out a North American tour.

The trek kicks off March 26 in Miami and works itself westward over the course of 14 shows, concluding April 14 in Vancouver.

In addition to the tour announcement, Sampha has shared the video for Lahai’s “Can’t Go Back.”

“I spent a lot of time predicting negativity would come my way based on previous life experiences,” Sampha wrote of the video on social media. “I would rush past everything thinking I had no time to do anything. I think writing this song was part of learning how to forgive myself in that state of being and to say it’s ok to start now. It’s not always too late. It’s just as important to slow down and recognize I have boundaries and a bandwidth.”

Prior to releasing Lahai, his first new album in six years, Sampha staged a series of residencies to preview the LP that he dubbed the Satellite Business shows.

“I guess on my album I was thinking a lot about time, and divinity, and infinity, and connection. And circles in some way just become a repeating theme in some of my visual references, and also in some of my songwriting,” Sampha told Rolling Stone in October.

“So just thinking of an interesting way to play in a way that I hadn’t played in before, which was playing in the round and calling the night Satellite Business, I guess creating this, what could be seen as maybe a satellite and part of the meaning behind that, really just the connection and the searching and creating that connection with the audience.”
