Sam Fender Adds Three Outdoor U.K. Gigs to Summer 2025 ‘People Watching’ Tour

Sam Fender has extended his 2025 U.K. summer tour with the addition of three new dates.

The announcement arrives ahead of the North Shields songwriter’s third LP People Watching, due next Friday (Feb. 21) via Polydor. The record marks Fender’s first full-length release since 2021’s Mercury Prize-nominated Seventeen Going Under.

The first of the new shows will be held in Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on Aug. 16, before he takes to the Royal Highland Showgrounds in Edinburgh the following week (Aug. 22) as part of the Scottish capital’s Summer Sessions series. On Aug. 28, meanwhile, Fender will headline the VITAL Festival at Boucher Road Playing Fields, Belfast.

Support comes from Olivia Dean in Manchester and Edinburgh, with CMAT in Belfast. Further opening acts are yet to be announced.

Tickets for all shows go on live at 10 a.m. (GMT) on Feb. 21 via Fender’s official website. There will be a special presale on Feb. 18 for those signed up to his fan newsletter, running for 24 hours ahead of the general sale later in the week.

These shows will follow Fender’s previously announced European and US tours through the spring, plus three sold-out stadium gigs at Newcastle’s St. James Park (June 12-15) and London Stadium (June 6). He will also appear at Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival in Sefton Park, Liverpool, on May 24 – bringing his U.K. summer line-up to eight dates.

£1 from every ticket sold on the stadium run will be donated to select cultural organisations such as Youth Music and Sunday for Sammy to support the arts in the North East of England.

Last month, Fender was nominated for artist of the year and best alternative/rock act at The BRIT Awards 2025, which will take place on Mar. 1 at London’s O2 Arena.
