The LA band now made up of Genessa Gariano, Brooke Dickson, Lydia Night and Drew Thomsen formed in 2015
After nine years, the Regrettes are breaking up. The Los Angeles band, made up of Genessa Gariano, Brooke Dickson, Lydia Night and Drew Thomsen, announced their mutual decision to part ways.
“If you’re reading this or you’ve been to a show or bought a record, you’ve given us all some of the best years of our lives,” the Regrettes wrote in a social media statement. “After all these amazing years together, we are parting ways to focus on other projects. There is absolutely nothing but love in our hearts for each other and you all & we’re eternally grateful.”
In the comment section on Instagram, Gariano added: “Forever thank full for these 8 years we shared. Truly the best years of my life. Love all the fans, bands, and crew this time was spent with. Allll my heart.”
“BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” Thomsen wrote.
Since forming in 2015, the Regrettes have undergone a few lineup changes but hit their stride around 2019 with the release of their sophomore album, How Do You Love? The band released three studio albums, their most recent being last year’s Further Joy.
The band will finish where they started as they close the door on this chapter with one last show in Los Angeles. The Regrettes will perform their farewell concert at the Fonda on Dec. 21. General sale for the show will begin on Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. PT.
