Here’s what Linkin Park played at their comeback gig

Linkin Park are back after a seven-year hiatus following the tragic death of Chester Bennington – here’s what they performed at their first show back.

Last night (September 5), the nu-metal titans held a livestream event titled ‘From Zero’ – which you can watch in full below. During the livestream, they unveiled two new members: co-lead vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.

Before announcing a new album and a short world tour in support of the record, they played a tight 14-song set filled with fan favourites and Linkin Park classics – as well as a brand new song.

To kick off their new era, Linkin Park launched right into a new track ‘The Emptiness Machine’. It begins with Mike Shinoda rapping, before Armstrong joins in for a powerful chorus.

The band then began rolling back the hits, playing two classic tunes back-to-back in the form of ‘Somewhere I Belong’ and ‘Crawling’. After a quick introduction, Linkin Park performed ‘Lying From You’ for the first time since 2013.

Afterwards, they played hits like ‘The Catalyst’, ‘Waiting For The End’, ‘Numb’ and ‘One Step Closer’ – the latter of which showed off Armstrong’s screaming capabilities.

Shinoda and Emily Armstrong then gave ‘Lost’ – taken from the ‘Meteora’ archives – its live debut, before performing ‘What I’ve Done’, ‘In The End’, ‘Faint’, ‘Papercut’ and ‘Bleed It Out’.
