Fans Spot a Poster of Eric Adams in Biggie’s ‘Juicy’ Video

New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams made somewhat of a cameo in The Notorious B.I.G.‘s video for the rapper’s debut single “Juicy.” According to a resurfaced tweet from New York Times reporter Jesse Drucker, his eagle-eyed son spotted the now-mayor as he was watching the video.

“Has anyone noticed that an Eric Adams poster makes a cameo in the video for Biggie Smalls’ ‘Juicy’? (h/t: my son.),” tweeted Dresser back in October of 2021, accompanied by a video still of the scene in question.

Around the 01:37 mark of the video, you can see a campaign poster from the time Mayor Adams was just beginning his political career plastered on the side of a traffic light pole as someone is doing pull-ups. At the time of the video’s release, Adams was an officer for the NYPD and was attempting to run for Congress in New York’s 11th district. However, he couldn’t muster up enough signatures to make the ballot and claimed that the petition signatures were stolen, although a police investigation on the matter was unable to corroborate his claim, according to New York Magazine.

Other fans spotted the poster of Adams, as well. One user posted a still from the video on Jul. 23, 2023 and another on Sept. 22 of this year.

The recently indicted Mayor Adams has had a close relationship with hip-hop since he took office in 2022, often being seen with a variety of rappers at various parties across the city. In September last year, Mayor Adams awarded Biggie’s former Bad Boy label boss Diddy with a key to city, but the embattled mogul was asked to give it back after the video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie surfaced.

Mayor Adams has been charged with bribery, wire fraud, conspiracy and two counts of soliciting campaign contributions from foreign nationals. Watch for Adams’ cameo in Biggie’s “Juicy” video below:
