Fans concerned after videos of Frankie Valli lip-syncing go viral

Fans of Frankie Valli are concerned after videos of the singer lip-syncing have gone viral.

The Four Seasons legend, now 90 years old, is still touring, with shows currently scheduled until April 2025.

However new clips from his recent concerts appear to show Valli lip-syncing, having difficulty keeping up with the music, and even missing cues to begin songs.

Fans have expressed concern in the comments, with one writing that it was “a tough watch” and another adding” “This is cruel.” Someone else commented: “I love Frankie Valli… but this isn’t right.”

It follows years of criticism against Valli for lip-synching. In 2017 during a performance at the Minnesota State Fair, local publication The Minnesota Star Tribune reported that he “barely moved his lips”, adding: “He rarely looked as if he was taking the kind of deep breaths required to sing with palpable passion. And he never seemed the least bit winded after any song.”

Earlier this year, the singer made headlines when a video of him seeming to have difficulty while performing sparked renewed concerns over his health. Clips appear to show Valli struggling to climb a short flight of stairs and lip-synching through his performance.

In August, a representative for Valli dismissed claims that the singer was having health problems, telling the New York Post: “Frankie is doing just fine and super happy to still be performing. The audiences are filling venues and listening to some great music. Frankie is doing what he loves to do at 90. We should all be so lucky.”

Valli announced last year that his current tour will be his final one with the Four Seasons. It’s currently set to wrap up in April 2025.

Earlier this year, the singer was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
