BLACKPINK member Jennie has released a new teaser that seemingly hints at upcoming solo music.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie released the clip on social media on September 29, with the caption “Presenting… 🍵”. The brief video is what its narrator calls the “pretty girl mantra”, which includes six rules: pretty girls are driven, practise self-love, love animals, sleep well, treat themselves and avoid drama.
Jennie herself appears in the teaser and acts out the “pretty girl mantra” as the narrator lists the rules in order.

The day after the “pretty girl mantra” teaser was released (September 30), she shared two brand-new photos of her leg and waist respectively, both with the word “mantra” tattooed in cursive.

The “pretty girl mantra” video is the latest in a string of teasers shared by Jennie in the past few days, which started with two photos of Jennie standing in an outdoor parking lot posted on September 27. She also posted a cryptic vertical clip of her in the same location, captioned “☎️ PRE-TTY-GIRL” on the same day.

Following that, Odd Atelier also posted a short clip on September 28 of herself tearing off a copy of a phone number printed on a bulletin advertisement that reads “Calling all pretty girls”. The caption read, “Picked up the phone”.

The teasers come shortly after Jennie signed with Columbia Records. At the time, it was also announced that the K-pop star was planning to release new solo music in October. Jennie’s upcoming, as-yet-untitled project will mark her first solo work since she released ‘You & Me’ in October 2023.
Earlier this year, she collaborated with Brockhampton’s Matt Champion on ‘Slow Motion’ in March and Zico on ‘SPOT!’ in April. The BLACKPINK star also notably teased an unreleased song on TikTok in June as part of her campaign with Beats by Dre.
