BeyHive Crashes Beyoncé Website Over… ‘Renaissance’ Film International Release Dates

The BeyHive were convinced that the visual drought of Beyoncé’s Renaissance era was finally coming to an end. On Monday evening, update accounts shared screenshots showing that the musician’s official website had been down for a number of hours, prompting fans to believe that a special announcement was coming. But it was only a false alarm. They had, in fact, crashed the website — only for the grand reveal to be the next set of countries in which the Renaissance tour film will be released.

“Okay, okay. Y’all didn’t have to break my website,” Beyoncé said in a trailer announcing the 15 additional countries where the film will be screened. “But I told y’all, the renaissance is not over.”

This weekend, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will be released in theaters throughout Brazil, Spain, Italy, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Hungary, Andorra, Romania, Bulgaria, Mongolia, and Taiwan.

“Beyoncé and Parkwood Entertainment are so UNSERIOUS,” one fan account posted on X (formerly Twitter). “They had us thinking that the visuals and live album were coming tonight. We were delusional for HOURS. Sick.”

Another, BeyHiveHD, wrote: “Bitch I thought Beyoncé was about to announce a second leg of the Renaissance World Tour.” Among the dozens of replies to the post appeared Honey Balenciaga, the viral ballroom dancer who performed throughout the Renaissance tour this summer.

“Girl me too. LMAO,” she responded. “I was about to GAG!” When fans suggested that she should already be in the loop about what’s coming next for the era, she added: “Only Beyonce supposed to know Beyonce business.”
