Nicki Minaj Reacts After Democrats Dominate in the 2026 Midterms: ‘Trump Is STILL Your PRESIDENT’

Nicki Minaj has spoken out after the conclusion of the 2026 midterms, which saw Democrats overwhelmingly win in congressional and state elections across the country on Tuesday (Nov. 3).

The following day, the rapper — who has spent the past year campaigning for Donald Trump and his MAGA party — shared a speechless video on X of herself looking blankly into the camera while wearing pale blue contacts in her eyes and a black blazer. “Couple things,” she wrote, introducing a list of personal reminders led by: “1. Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT.”

“The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION,” she continued. “Jesus is STILL LORD … The BARBZ are STILL PRETTY!!! … Stay tuned & STAY MAD. … Maybe now our people will WAKE UP.”

Minaj also praised JD Vance’s “great insight” after the vice president shared a lengthy post about the Republican losses, claiming that the “real reason” voters didn’t back them was the United States’ war with Iran. The hip-hop star also congratulated conservative Florida politicians Anna Paulina Luna and Byron Donalds, who won their respective races for House of Representatives and governor.

Fans and critics alike had been waiting for what Minaj would say after Democrats resumed control of both the House and the Senate in a landslide victory Tuesday night, flipping dozens of congressional seats. Leading up to the election, she’d joined Trump on the campaign trail rallying support for Republican candidates, and on voting day, she posted an AI-generated image of Chucky wearing a “Vote Red” badge, which Child’s Play filmmaker Don Mancini roasted soon afterward. “Chucky says ‘A BLUE WAVE’ is coming, as BLUE as my f — kin’ eyes!” he wrote on X.

Though Minaj — who was born in Trinidad and Tobago — is not a U.S. citizen, she has become enmeshed in the Republican Party since late 2025, when she first started appearing at political events. She first met the twice-impeached POTUS in January at his Trump Accounts summit in Washington, D.C., calling herself his “No. 1 fan.”

“She’s been with me a long time,” the president said of Minaj during an Oval Office meeting in October, after which she told Barbz on X: “Not going anywhere.”
