Greta Van Fleet Checks In With ‘Palace For The People’: Stream It Now

Greta Van Fleet open the virtual gates to Palace For The People (via Republic Records), the Michigan rock band’s fourth studio album.

Palace arrived as the clock struck midnight, and houses 13 tracks including the previously-released single “Tear It Down,” plus cuts “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand,” which the group performed last month on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“As much as it is a Greta Van Fleet record and a rock ‘n’ roll record at its core, in its heart, it’sa very modern record,” remarks lead guitarist Jake Kiszka in a statement.

Hailing from Frankenmuth, GVF has notched five appearances on the Billboard 200, including three top 10s. Palace is the followup to 2023’s Starcatcher, which peaked at No. 8 on the all-genres Billboard albums survey and earned a Grammy nomination for best rock album — a category they won in 2019 with From The Fires.

The new collection was recorded in Tennessee in the spring of 2026, and co-produced by the band with Mike Elizondo (Turnstile, Eminem, Fiona Apple).

Following Starcatcher, “we took a break,” bassist and keyboardist Sam Kiszka told Billboard’s Katie Bain. “We couldn’t handle each other anymore. No, we definitely had to take some time off after all the, the wildness of the intense touring … of just this tour. Everything in moderation, right? But no, we’re back, and … we’re coming back full steam, and it’s a lot of fun.”

With all that steam, the group will embark on a 2027 North American and European headline jaunt, titled Into The Beginning Tour. Promoted by Live Nation, the 59-city outing gets underway Wednesday, Feb. 3 at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, GA and visits Chicago, Brooklyn, Detroit, Dallas-Fort Worth, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Toronto and other cities before wrapping-up in their home state on Saturday, July 31 at Grand Rapids’ Acrisure Amphitheater. Special guests on North American dates include Arc De Soleil, The Kooks, and Portugal. The Man.

“The function of the artist is to provide what the universe cannot,” explains frontman Josh Kiszka in statement, issued ahead of the new release. “We wanted to make a record that personifies adventure, passion, brutality, beauty, sex, and imagination, so that’s what we did. We played the ‘Palace of the People’ in London, and our music is a Palace for the People. When you’ve seen so much of the world, you realize there’s so much more of the world you have not seen. We’re starseekers. We’re simply taking the human experience and translating it into music.”
