Taylor Swift isn’t quite ready to hang up her cowboy hat just yet. After the Country Music Association announced its 2026 CMA Awards nominations on Thursday (Sept. 10), the superstar celebrated her nomination for single of the year with a characteristically Swiftian Instagram Story.
Resharing the CMA and ABC’s nominee post for “I Knew It, I Knew You,” Swift wrote, “Looks like I haven’t yee’d my last haw. Thank you CMA!!!!” She then appeared to tease that she may be attendance at the ceremony, closing her post with “See you there Nov 18” with a smiling cowboy emoji.
“I Knew It, I Knew You” is up for single of the year alongside Ella Langley‘s “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas,” Lainey Wilson‘s “Somewhere Over Laredo” and Cody Johnson‘s “The Fall.” The category recognizes the artist, producers and mix engineer; Swift shares the nomination with Jack Antonoff, who coproduced the track, and mix engineer Laura Sisk.
Released in June as part of the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, “I Knew It, I Knew You” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Swift her 15th career No. 1 on the chart. It also arrived at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs, making it a full-circle moment for the singer, whose career began in Nashville before she made her leap into pop.
By September, “I Knew It, I Knew You” had also returned Swift to No. 1 on the country radio chart, giving her her first country radio leader in more than a decade.
The CMA Awards will air live on ABC and stream on Disney+ Nov. 18, with a next-day Hulu stream.
